What to Do After an Accident
First, don’t panic. Make sure you and any passengers in your vehicle are okay, and call 911 to report injuries and to get the police to the scene. A police report may be necessary for your insurance claim.
While on the scene of the accident, collect as much information as possible, including license plate numbers, driver’s licenses, and insurance cards for all parties. If possible, take photographs of vehicle damage and the surrounding areas. You will need to file a claim with either your insurance company or the insurance company of the at-fault party.
Make arrangements for your car to be brought to
